Lashing systems are a key element in securing cargo in road transport, warehouses, and internal logistics. They are suitable for both light shipments and the transport of heavy equipment, machinery, or vehicles on car carriers. Thanks to a wide range of load capacities, accessories, and configurations, they provide a solution tailored to every type of cargo.
Forankra, as a manufacturer with 36 years of experience, supplies lashing systems compliant with EN 12195-2, made exclusively from certified components. This guarantees consistent quality and technical parameters that professional carriers can rely on.

Variety of lashing systems – tailored to every task
Wide load capacity range:
Forankra lashing systems are available from LC 400 daN to LC 2500 daN, making them suitable for both light and demanding loads.
Flexible designs:
Lashing systems are available in one-piece, two-piece, and three-point versions, with ratchets, buckles or quick-release fittings, and with various types of hooks (J, double J, flat, T, D, O, S, U), allowing perfect adjustment to the cargo type and lashing method.
Versatile lashing methods:
- Direct lashing – classic cargo securing method.
- Loop lashing (wrap-around) – stabilization of slippery or irregularly shaped items.
- Securing via system points – compatible with Airline/Kombi rails and T and D fittings.
Types of transport straps
Standard lashing systems with ratchet
The most versatile solution, available in a wide range of lengths, LC capacities, and configurations.
Endless lashing with ratchet
Designed for packages and light loads; quick and easy to use.
Inside lashings
For securing parcels in courier bodies and delivery vehicles.
Cambuckle lashings
Ideal for light transport tasks, space organization, and packaging.
Car lashing systems
Special straps for securing vehicle wheels; available in 3-point versions or with a protective sleeve.
Machine lashings
High-strength lashings designed for heavy loads and intensive use.
Maritime cargo lashing
Made from webbing resistant to UV radiation, seawater, and corrosive environments.
Structure of a transport lashings
A lashing systems with a ratchet consists of two basic elements:
1. Short part (ratchet):
-
lever mechanism,
-
ratchet handle and gear teeth,
-
release element,
-
short webbing section finished with a hook,
-
label,
2. Long part:
-
webbing made of polyester (PES),
-
finished with a hook adapted to the lashing point,
-
label,
-
end fitting.
The ratchet is responsible for achieving the proper strap tension and safely securing the cargo.
How to choose the right lashing systems?
1. Determine the type and weight of the cargo
- Is it susceptible to damage?
- Is it slippery and requires clamping force (STF)?
- Does it require direct lashing (LC)?
2. Decide: securing or frictional lashing?
- Direct lashing (LC)
→ the strap works in tension,
→ suitable for large and heavy items. - Frictional lashing (STF)
→ the strap increases friction,
→ suitable for pallets, parcels, and equipment.
3. Check the lashing points
- Airline lashing tracks,
- Kombi tracks,
- D-ring points,
- Fixed hooks.
4. Select the correct end fittings
The type of hook should match the vehicle’s lashing infrastructure — this is a common user mistake (using hooks that do not fit the lashing points reduces safety).
Comparison table – LC vs former capacity rating
| Former rating (t) | New LC rating (daN) | Example of application |
|---|---|---|
| 0,5 t | LC 500 | Securing parcels and light loads |
| 1,0 t | LC 1000 | Transport on trailers |
| 2,0 t | LC 2000 | Standard palletized loads |
| 3,0 t | Lc 3000 | Heavier machinery and structural elements |
| 5,0 t | LC 5000 | Industrial and construction transport |
Key safety rules
- Do not use the lashing for lifting loads. Straps are intended for lashing only.
- Use only serviceable lashing— without abrasions, damage, knots, or deformed hooks.
- Do not use a strap without a legible EN 12195-2 label.
- Do not use extensions on the ratchet. The ratchet is designed for a standard hand force (SHF) of 50 daN.
- Protect the webbing from sharp edges — use corner protectors and protective sleeves.
- Do not place the ratchet on the edge of the load.
- Ensure the webbing is not twisted or crushed.
We offer transport lashing straps in the range of:
- from LC 400 daN to LC 2500 daN,
- in various configurations (one- and two-piece, with ratchet, with buckle),
- standard versions and custom-made solutions (lashing manufactured according to individual requirements).
Custom-made lashing:
As a manufacturer, we can prepare a strap in any configuration:
- length,
