Cambuckle lashings

Lashings are the most common way to secure cargo and the method most often used is the top-over lashing. When using a top-over lashing the cargo is pressed down against the load carrier by the tensioning force built up in the lashing which increases the actual friction between the cargo and the load carrier’s surface and thereby prevents the cargo from sliding. Straps are also used to prevent the goods from tipping.
